![]() ![]() This all results in a rather bad experience for me. I think I’ve followed all the suggestions offered - I’m out $60 and no working sketchup (which I had last month, SU Make version 2016 but can’t download the old version because Trimble has taken it out of download. It still crashes when I try to save my two line drawing. I ran through the installations of those two and then started SketchUP make 2017 again. I spent another $30 (because I’m not computer savvy enough to carry out the complicated steps suggested on my own) and downloaded the WinThruster software (despite my microtrend antivirus software saying it wasn’t a trusted site) and the free WinSweeper software packaged with the WinThruster (the WinThruster is only available that way). The one that was clearest was the Solvusoft explanation, scan, search, etc. ![]() I took your suggestion and read through the links you suggested to repair the ati06axx.dll crash problem. If you need to ‘Force Quit’ use Right Click SU icon in the Dock and then alt/option key to expose that option…Ī common cause for mac slowdowns and crashes are render extensions… You should always send in the Bug Splats as they can help pinpoint the culprit, copy/pasting the Error Code shown in your browser in a forum post can often receive fast detailed response… If closing the ‘Untitled’ document results in a crash, I would suspect a problem with an extension or an external process … It differs from Windows which opens a new instance of SU for each document file… Running in a single session is how all ‘multi document’ applications work… Using ‘File > Open Recent’ doesn’t add that file to currently open document, it simply opens selected file in it’s own document window… If you launch SU without clicking a file, the document window it will be empty unless you have set up a System Preference… Very rarely editing the model sometimes leads as well to a crash, crash report then I’ve forward as well.īest if you Right Click SU icon in the Dock, you can choose from the list of recent files directly… So it seems opening more than one instance isn’t working that fine…and using another session rather than the available empty one, isn’t logical either.Ĭlosing the model causes the program to remain resident and requires forcefull stopping (left click, STOP in the launch bar), after a second or third time a FORCED stop finally concludes the session… The opened file is kept in session, however. Of course I have sent that one in, occasionally. Closing that one often results into a crash with (sometimes) a bug report. If & when a 32Mb file opens, a NEW SketchUp window is initiated, leaving a blanc instance in the original window. Opening the program and selecting a ‘recent’ file takes (very) long. Both are installed with version 17.1.173 (latest). Using SketchUp2017 on 2 Macs, both with OSX 10.12.2 (MacBook and stationary iMac), starting and closing isn’t going flawlessly, on either machine. ![]()
